  Education or trainingGraduated from the Novosibirsk Institute of Agriculture in 1973 (NINH) upon the specialty of “Economics and logistics planning”. Defended the thesis at the Moscow Institute of Agriculture named after Plekhanov In 1978.
CareerUpon the graduation from the institute was engaged in scientific and research and teaching activity and for more than 13 years took an active part in training of qualified economists to work in Novosibirsk. From 1999 to 2000 took a Professorship at the Economics Faculty of the Siberian State University of Communication Lines and since 1994 has been a Director General for the Open JSC Municipal Bank of Novosibirsk.

Membership in public organizations/political partiesOne of the initiators to establish the Inter-regional association of the company management (MARP) and Municipal Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Novosibirsk (NGTPP). Since 1991 – Vice-president of MARP. Since 2001 – Board Chairman of HGTPP. Fellow to the Council of Regional Bank Association “Rossiya”, Counselor to the Head of the Administration of Novosibirsk region, Member to over ten Councils on expertise, coordination and economics at the Administration of the region and Town Hall of Novosibirsk.
V.G. Zhenov was elected to the Public Chamber of Novosibirsk region in June 2007. In May 2008 elected Deputy Chairman of the Council of Regional Banks Association “Rossiya”.
